Objektif:
At the end of the lesson, 1. Given questions involving add two proper fractions with the same denominator up to 10 with different numerators, student will be able to express it to its simplest form.
Student had learned the concept of proper fraction and express equivalent fractions to its simplest form.

Teacher asks student to state the fraction. {Answers : 2/6} 3. Then, teacher says,"Another cake I put one part with chocolate on top of it." 4. Teacher asks student to state the fraction. {Answers: 1/6}

Today, we will learn to add two proper fractions with denominators up to 10.

## Penyampaian Isi Pelajaran

1. Teacher then introduces today's lesson is about two added proper fractions. 2. Teacher demonstrates: a) Teacher divides the paper strip into 5 equal parts. b) Teacher colours the first part with blue. Then, teacher gives the fraction as 1/5. c) For the second part, teacher colours it with red. Then, teacher gives the fraction as 1/5. 3. Teacher explains with adding the blue and red parts together,the fraction is 2/5 (1/5 + 1/5). 4. Teacher demonstrates another example: a) Teacher divides the paper strip into 8 equal parts. b) Teacher colours the first part with blue. Then, teacher gives the fraction as 1/8. c) For the second part, teacher colours it with red. Then, teacher gives the fraction as 1/8. d) Hence, teacher explains with adding the blue and red parts together, the fraction is 2/8 which is equal to 1/4 in its simplest form.
Langkah Kedua
1. Teacher asks the pupil to demonstrate according to teacher's demonstration that he has seen in previous step. 2. Teacher gives instruction and student follows the instruction given by teacher. a) Divides the paper strip into 6 parts. Choose your favourite colour to colour the first part and another colour for second part. b) Add the fractions. {Student demonstrates and states the fraction: 1/6 + 1/6 = 2/6 = 1/3.} 3. Teacher gives another instruction: a) Divides the paper strip into 8 parts. Choose your favourite colour to colour the first part and another colour for second part. b) Add the fractions. {Student demonstrates and states the fraction: 1/8 + 1/8 = 2/8 = ¼.}
Langkah Ketiga
1. Teacher says, “The numerators can also have more parts of colours.” 2. Teacher demonstrates: a) Teacher divides the paper strip into 8 equal parts. b) Teacher colours first 2 parts with blue and name the fraction as 2/8. c) Teacher colours the other 3 parts with red and name the fraction as 3/8. d) Teacher adds: 2/8 + 3/8 = 5/8. 3. Teacher asks the student to demonstrate according to teacher's demonstration that he has seen in previous step. 4. Teacher gives instruction and student follows the instruction given by teacher. a) Divides the paper strip into 6 parts. b) Colours the first two parts with your favourite colour and another three parts with different colour. c) Add the fractions. {Student demonstrated and states the fraction: 2/6 + 3/6 = 5/6.} 5. Teacher gives exercise to student. 6. For the first question for each part of the worksheet, teacher guides him to find the answer. 7. Teacher asks student to complete the rest of questions as his homework.
