Explain and identify the parts of plant respond to stimuli.
Objektif: 
At the end of the lesson, pupil will be able to: 1. Identify the parts of plant - leaf , root, shoot and stem. 2. Discuss how plants respond to external stimuli : water, sunlight, touch and gravity.
Kemahiran Sedia Ada: 
Pupil is able to name the various types of plants.
Analisis Tugasan/Konsep Pembelajaran: 
1. External stimuli: water, sunlight, touch and gravity. 2. Self experience of how plants respond to external stimuli. 3. Identify parts of plant on tactile graphic. 4. Description of how plants respond to external stimuli based on tactile graphic.

Deskripsi: 

Teacher asks pupil to name various types of plants. E.g : hibiscus, aloe vera, mimosa, mushroom etc.

Teacher gives a quiz before stars the lesson. (a) Hai, my name starts with M. My head is round and I've one leg. My shape looks like an umbrella. I grow on the ground or near the trunk of the tree. Who am I ? Pupil guess the answer is "mushroom"

Today, we will learn to explain and identify the parts of plant respond to stimuli.

Mempersembahkan Maklumat Baru Kepada Murid
1. Teacher introduces today's lesson is regarding parts of plant and how plant respond to external stimuli such as: (a) Water, sunlight, touch and gravity. 2. Teacher explains today he needs to go out to feel the plant during the lesson. 3. Teacher brings him to feel the various type of plants around the school. 4. Teacher names the plants and pupil repeats after teacher. 5. Teacher chooses one example of plants that he has touched. (a) Hibiscus-identify the parts of hibiscus with teacher's guidance. e.g ---shoot,leaf, stem, root and flower. (b) Then, teacher explain each part respond to different external stimulus. e.g : Leaf and shoot respond to sunlight. e.g : root respond to gravity. 6. Then, teacher brings him to touch mimosa plant and explain to him how mimosa plant reacts. (a) Teacher explains mimosa plant respond to touch because it will quickly folds its leaf once it had been touched. (b) Then, teacher let him feels the plant that has already withered. (c) Teacher explains plants withered if lack of water. Therefore,roots respond to water and they need water to grow freshly and healthy. 7. Teacher and pupil back to the class. (a) Teacher asks him to identify the part of plant on tactile graphic and paste the name of the part according to the arrow. e.g : leaf, stem, root and flower. 8. Once he could recognizes the parts, teacher explains part like roots are respond to water and it needs water to grow. 9. Teacher asks the pupil to read the notes given. 10. After he reads, teacher explains more details how roots respond to water: roots bring the water to all parts of body of plant. 11. Then, teacher asks him to feel the tactile graphic of plant without water in a box and plant with water and expose with sunlight with teacher's guidance. 12. Teacher asks him to explain the different between this two plants and what is the conclusion that he can make. 13. Pupil answers plant must receive water everyday and expose with sunlight. It respond to water and sunlight in order for it to grow healthy.
Langkah Kedua
1. Teacher asks him to continue to read the notes again: (a) external stimuli --- plant respond to sunlight. 2. After he read, teacher explains more detail how plant respond to sunlight: (a) The stem of the plant will grow towards the sun's ray. (b) Then, teacher asks him to feel the tactile graphic with teacher's guidance of young plant that has put in a box with a small hole. (c) After a week, the stem of plant will grow towards the hole that has sun's ray. (d) Then, teacher asks him to make a conclusion of this experiment. (e) Pupil answers plant needs sunlight to grow healthy and it respond to sunlight. 3. Teacher asks him to continue to read the notes again: (a) external stimuli ----plant respond to touch. 4. After he reads, teacher explains that plant like mimosa will fold its leaf after being touched. 5. Pupil feels the tactile graphic of touching mimosa plant and feels the leaf folds with teacher's guidance. 6. Teacher asks him to make conclusion of what he has felt regarding this experiment. 7. Pupil answers plant respond to touch because it will fold its leaf after being touched.
Langkah Ketiga
1. Teacher asks him to continue to read the notes: (a) External stimuli --- plant respond to gravity. 2. After reading, teacher explains more detail about roots of the plant respond to gravity that make them always stay in a surface of soil or grow towards the ground. 3. Teacher guides the pupil to feel the tactile graphic how roots grow towards the gravity. 4. Teacher asks him to make a conclusion of what he has felt regarding this experiment. 5. Pupil answers plant respond to gravity because the roots grow towards the ground. 6. Teacher gives the exercises for pupil to do. For the first question, teacher guides him to find the answer. 7. The rest of questions are as his homework.

Penutup Pengajaran

1. Teacher gives a quiz : (a) I am a head of a plant. Where ever the sun goes, I will follow. Who am I? - Pupil responds " I am a shoot of a plant" (b) I am the main body of a plant. My body is hard and I support all parts of my body. Who am I? - Pupil responds " I am a stem of a plant"
